The Guildford Waterside Centre

Who We Are

The Guildford Waterside Centre is an exceptional facility in Bellfields, Guildford beside the River Wey and home for the Samson Centre for Multiple Sclerosis, Wey Kayak Club, the Guildford branch of the British Sub-Aqua Club and a base for the University of Surrey Canoe Club and the Guildford Lions Club.

We welcome anyone who is living with multiple sclerosis (MS) to the Samson Centre. We are a charity focused on helping people with MS live the best life they can, by keeping well physically and mentally.

We are a vibrant, ambitious and sociable club in the heart of Guildford.  As one of the largest flat water kayak clubs in the country we offer paddling for beginners and international athletes; recreational paddlers and racers for the young and the young at heart.

Volunteers Engaged

Our club was formed in 1967 and has a focus on making a difference to peoples’ lives in Guildford. We are all volunteers, both male and female, with a passion for helping others whilst having some fun along the way. We support the local community but as part of Lions International we also respond to global crises when appropriate.
